A stripped down to the core hook sounds even more powerful when Skylar sings it directly to the camera.

Skylar’s most recent single recorded for the “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” soundtrack is doing well on charts. The song debuted at No.3 on iTunes and landed the top spot on the Spotify Song Debuts charts.

“Last One Standing” is a savage number, and the energy is embedded into its bones. That much Skylar Grey showed in her Instagram stories when she sat down in the kitchen to sing a hook. Without instrumentals, presets, or anything that an artist can hide behind. Just a melody, lyrics and a voice. Still, it is enough to send a shiver down your spine.
