T.I. still does not hear back from anyone whom he challenged to Verzuz. Now he is losing patience.
Tip was probably triggered by some ongoing internet discussion that did not give him enough respect, so he addressed his public in a massive casual Instagram livestream claiming that his name rightfully belongs to the top hip hop elite and that he can destroy any big player when put on the same song:
Put us in god damn booth together. Put us in a studio together to make a song. Let’s see who gonna have a hard time telling who god damn came out on top. I guarantee you motherfuckers. I don’t give a fuck who the fuck it is. Eminem, Jay, Drake, the bests in the business. Put us on the same song! Put us in a studio doing the same song at the same motherfucking time and just watch what happened. That’s all I’m saying, and that’s undeniable.
You know, it perturbs me when motherfuckers put me in a class or category that I just don’t belong. Commercially they’re doing well and making good money and doing good for themselves. But when it comes to bars and rapping and shit – come on, man, cut the nonsense.
Then Tip proceeded to call out everyone: Lil Wayne, Kanye, Nas. He is eager to record a song with any elite player. That’s a drastic departure from a hit battle on Verzuz T.I. tried to organise. He went from challenging 50 Cent to planning to take on Eminem, and while none of them responded, it has not affected Tip’s confidence.
However, it is not like T.I. has never been on the same song with Eminem. He has two joints with Marshall: 2007 “Touch Down” with 8 million Spotify streams and 2010 “That’s All She Wrote” that recently reached 150 million streams. Do you think T.I. did better than Marshall on those songs?
