Eminem’s new documentary has not yet hit theatres, but it is already receiving love from morning TV.
NBC’s Today Show aired a segment previewing the film, where longtime commentator Ted Carson gave the film his stamp of approval, saying: “The documentary will be great. I’m in it.” Ted’s been covering Eminem since the early days, so seeing him pop up in the doc feels right on time.
Meanwhile, over on Good Day DC (FOX5), co-host Anna Mae took a trip down memory lane, recalling how she used to spend hours learning how to rap “Lose Yourself” in her bedroom. She even dropped a few bars live on air. She still knows every word, and her co-hosts are very impressed.
All this buzz reminds us that Eminem’s reach goes far beyond hip hop. And “Stans” is already hitting the right notes. For those who have been riding with Em since day one or just love a good story, this doc feels like it’s got something special.
