Marshall’s most streamed album has met a new milestone on the streaming platform.
Since the beginning of the year, the album has gained 1.2 billion Spotify streams and reached the mark of 4.8 billion. It remains the most streams album of the 2000s day in and day out. The previous week it gained 32.6 million streams, which is almost 10 million more than the second most streamed album of the decade, also Eminem’s — “Encore”.
Of course, the album has been showing consistent sales for 20 years since its release and has been climbing up the list of the most streamed albums ever. Now it is ranked 57th and is not a small fit in stiff competition with young streaming sensations. But Eminem does not even have to do anything now, his music speaks for itself.
The expanded edition though, which Marshall released this year for the album’s 20th anniversary, was a nice touch.
