For no apparent reason but the delight of Eminem’s fans, MTV released a collection of clips from the first five years of Marshall’s mainstream career.
Titled “Eminem In Their Own Words | MTV Vault”, the video shows that from very early on, Marshall has been showing the same main traits: he’s been humble, self-deprecating, fiercely independent, and equipped with a strong moral compass and a very clear vision of his mission.
In 2020, when Marshall was nominated for MTV VMAs in the Best Hip Hop Video and the Best Video of the Year categories, MTV released a similar collection of short clips from their vast collection of footage.
Now, the video is just up there, on the MTV YouTube channel just because Eminem is an essential part of music history. And probably because all younger people, who are discovering Marshall’s legacy just now, deserve to know more about the artist behind those hits.
