Was Eminem shopping at Target? Was it a sign or a con? Eminem fans around the globe come up with theories and hypotheses.

Artist and producer Teddy Beats posted on his Instagram page a video from Target that shows a man bearing a strong resemblance to Eminem waiting at the check-out. Teddy says it was indeed Eminem and he even talked to him, trying to promote his own music (without much success).

Random sightings of Eminem a rare, extremely rare. We all know that Marshall lives a sheltered life and avoids going to public places because of people like Teddy Bear. Marshall values his privacy. So a big part of the fandom feels sceptical about this interaction and, having studied every inch of this video, concludes that it was not Em at all. What was that — a doppelgänger in the crowd or Teddy’s publicity trick, — is still an open question.

Another part of Em’s following sees a strong resemblance and chooses to believe that it was indeed Eminem shopping in a chain supermarket. Behind this belief is a hope that this sighting can lead to more music. New fans do not even know, but there were times when photos and videos of Marshall caught in Target were a reliable sign that he is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming release.
