A deplatformed influencer lashes out at Marshall and gets pushback from his own audience.
Andrew Tate is proud to call himself a misogynist and a sexist. To extent that even Jake Paul decided to wash his hands off the association with Tate. Tate grew up supported by his father, chess genius Emory Tate. Andre changed his kickboxing career to the one of a media personality and his very first stunt, the British version of Big Brother, was cut short because of his homophobic and racist comments, and a documented case of abuse. Notoriety is his bread and butter, but this summer it just came to the point where it was too much.
Tate was permanently banned from Facebook, and Instagram, where he had 4.7 million followers. TikTok removed his account for violating policies on “content that attacks, threatens, incites violence against, or otherwise dehumanizes an individual or a group”, and YouTube also suspended his channel citing multiple violations, including hate speech and COVID-19 misinformation. His Twitch Tate deleted himself.
Tate was one of those let back in on Twitter after Musk’s recent acquisition of the platform. He’s back to his 2.6 million followers selling them secret knowledge on how to become a millionaire. Before the world will have 2 million more millionaires on their shoulders, Tate wanted gifts from them and addressed the followers: “I want my share so give me everything you have”.
One of his disciples shared a video edit, portraying Tat as a heroic macho man — laid over Em’s “Superman”. “Top G”, as his flock calls him, was not happy. He dismissed both a gift and Marshall’s legacy:
Dont like eminem. Hes a Crybaby.
HAYLEY HAYLEY HAYLEY bro its been like 30 years shut up?
There is a variety of reactions in this thread, starting with “Bro you lost my respect and all Stans!”, but disappointment prevails.
At the end of the day, it’s a good old trick of getting noticed by mentioning Eminem in a negative way. If the ideas Tate sells are as original as this one, we should not expect his followers on the Forbes list any time soon.
