It looked like Eminem might finally take the Glastonbury stage this year, but the official lineup is out — and he is not on it. So, what happened?

For months, rumours swirled that Eminem could be headlining Glastonbury Festival in 2025. With the festival taking a break next year, organisers were supposedly aiming for something huge — and who better than Slim Shady to shake up Worthy Farm?

Eminem has never played Glastonbury but is no stranger to massive UK festival crowds. His Reading and Leeds sets in 2017 were legendary, and with “The Death of Slim Shady” dropping last year, fans were hopeful this would be his big return.

There were even reports that talks were happening behind the scenes. But now, the official lineup is out, and Eminem’s name is nowhere to be found. Sure, there are more acts to be announced, but let us be real — Eminem does not do last-minute festival drop-ins. If a European run was happening, we would probably know by now.

So, what does this mean for UK fans? With no tour announced yet, could Em still make his way across the pond later this year? After all, we never got a “Music to Be Murdered By” tour because of the pandemic — will TDOSS get the same treatment?

Or maybe, just maybe, Eminem has other priorities right now — like preparing to become a grandfather. His daughter Hailie is due soon, and there will never be another moment like this for him to hold a newborn grandchild in his arms. After all, we know Marshall has always put his family first. We’re talking about a man who skipped the Oscars to read a bedtime story to Hailie. What’s one missed festival compared to that? Very little.
