Family look for the Mathers people means Beats by Dre and the Shure SM7B mic.
Marshall’s recent appearance on the Paul Rosenberg podcast immediately sparked a comparison with his daughter, who launched her podcast “Just a Little Shady” not long ago. A side-by-side picture showed that both use the same headphones and a mic model.
One of the funniest suggestions stemmed from a popular misconception that Marshall is technologically inept. “This man Eminem really took his daughter’s mic and headphones to appear on Paul’s podcast 😭😭😂” , posted one of the Eminem fan accounts.
While it might be heart-warming to imagine Marshall’s grown-up daughter harrying up to help her father connect a microphone to his rickety laptop, the reality was probably different.
Eminem might not be very good at taking selfies, but he knows his way around studio equipment and has seen a mic or two since the mid-1990, among other, even more complicated devices.
Marshall virtually has been using Beats by Dre for years and has shares in the company.
He is more used to giving them out than to borrowing them. In 2017, for instance, Eminem gave graduating students from Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy a brand new pair of Beats By Dre headphones in appreciation for their hard work throughout their academic careers thus far.
Meanwhile, the Shure SM7B microphone is one of the studio staples and to think about it, Eminem does not need any advice from a young podcaster on what to use. If anything, it might be the other way round: Marshall helping Hailie to put together her first setup.
But regardless of how it happened, the family resemblance between Eminem and his daughter extended to their gadget choices is wholesome.
