The collaboration of two of the most prolific young white rappers could not forego a shout out to Marshall’s legacy.

Both Russ and Logic have named Eminem one of their inspirations and the reason why they got into rap. Logic even landed a verse from Eminem on his album “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, famous “Homicide”.

This new track in question is “Therapy Music”, the third single from Logic’s upcoming album “Vinyl Days”. Both Logic and his guest Russ exercise complete command over their uninterrupted flow in two long verses. And Logic sneaked two nerdy references to Em’s work to the tail of his verse:

Still at the top, where I been at
Eight miles from the surface of Earth, feelin’ infinite

For hip hop fans living under the rock, it might even pass as nothing but the description of elevated status Logic claims. But an attentive listener recognises here links to Em’s iconic movie “8 Mile” and his first independently released album “Infinite”.
