Billboard summarises its records publishing not just end-of-year but end-of-decade charts. The end of the decade when the music landscape has became reshaped by the Internet, social media and streaming services, the decade when superstars can blow-up overnight from nowhere and where popularity has stopped hanging exclusively on labels decisions. The decade when Eminem radically changed his life and his persona but remained on top.
So, we can see Eminem in all the charts we expect him to see. We have three entrance from him on the Billboard 200, we can see him on the Top 100 Artists, and of course, he is present on all three genre-specific charts: Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artists.
The one that we could not find him was Top Touring Artists list, which is weird considering that Eminem is in the top of the most grossing tour male artists. The answer is that his name is probably in the top 10 of the list. So far Billboard has revealed its top artists lists only from a number 11 down and is going to announce numbers 6-10 monthly and numbers 1-5 will be presented at the Billboard Music Awards ceremony on April 29, 2020.
The highest position in these charts so far is No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list. “Recovery”, the album with the most weeks at No. 1 this decade, occupied the third place on the recap. The 2010 release, filled with the hits “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie”, spent the most time at No. 1 on the chart, 16 weeks.
