“Curtain Call 2” has become Eminem’s third album to spend 150 weeks on the Official Albums Chart UK.
Eminem’s second greatest hits compilation earned its place in a very exclusive club. It has now spent 150 weeks on both the Official Albums Chart and the Albums Streaming Chart in the United Kingdom, making it his third project to hit that milestone. The only other two are “Curtain Call: The Hits” (675 weeks) and “The Eminem Show” (159 weeks)
While “Curtain Call 2” was never as massive as its predecessor, its steady performance speaks to the strength of Eminem’s back catalogue. The album climbed two spots on the streaming chart this week while slightly dipping on the main albums ranking, but it remains firmly in the mix. Meanwhile, “Curtain Call: The Hits” continues its historic run, now at 675 weeks on the album chart and gaining once again.
Only the two Curtain Call compilations have reached 150 weeks on the UK streaming tally so far. The “Eminem Show” is right behind at 148 weeks and looks poised to join the 150 club soon.
Across the board, Eminem’s older albums keep showing up. “The Slim Shady LP” and “The Eminem Show” are both charting on the UK Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart, with the latter re-entering after some time away.
UK fans have been Marshall’s most loyal audience for years, maybe this is why they have become the first to see the new Eminem documentary “Stans”, which US release date remains unknown still. This autumn, they say.
