An Aftermath producer revealed that a new collaboration between Eminem and Dr. Dre is set to release.
Trevor Lawrence Jr has been working on the Aftermath projects for years. Eminem, Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys are one of his most consistent collaborators. Trevor worked extensively on “Relapse” and “Music to be Murdered By” as well as Dr. Dre’s “Compton”.
His new project is done with Marshall and Dre both, and we are about to get it.
On his Instagram account, Trevor Lawrence Jr posted:
Excited to hear that joint we produced on Eminem with #drdre drop next week!
That alone would be enough to get all fans excited. Still, as if to add to the anticipation, Trevor left this information in the comment section to a video with Kanye West he posted to illustrate unhealthy work-life balance in the music industry.
That was enough to start speculations about the probability of this song being Dr. Dre’s remix of Kanye’s “Use This Gospel” from “Jesus Is King”. Ye has confirmed that the remix exists and that Eminem recorded a verse for it.
“Curtain Call 2” is expected to be released on August 5, and Eminem promised new music before the project drops. The tracklist is yet to be made public, but rumour has it that reliable hits of recent 18 years will be accompanied by some of the most recent Em’s singles and new, never released before music. Do you expect this remix to be a new single for Em’s upcoming greatest hits compilation, or do you think we should anticipate a completely new track from two GOATs involved in the project?
