Eminem’s spokesperson Dennis Dennehy released a statement regarding the leaked version of “Things Get Worse”.
Fans, general public and media alike were alarmed and concerned about allegations that Eminem could side with someone who became a symbol of domestic abuse and violence against women.
The Guardian quoted the official statement of Eminem’s publicist:
This is a leak of something that’s over 10 years old. After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it, and rewrote it. Obviously he and Rihanna have a great relationship.
