“Revival” has become Marshall’s 10th studio album to earn 2 billion streams on Spotify.
Eminem’s ninth studio album, “Revival”, has officially surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify, marking yet another milestone for the rap legend. Released on December 15, 2017, the album faced widespread criticism upon its debut, with reviews targeting its lack of cohesion, rock-heavy production, and pop-driven collaborations.
Despite the polarising reception, “Revival” achieved significant commercial success, debuting at No. 1 in countries like the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Finland. It was also the UK’s Christmas No. 1 album in 2017. It has since been certified platinum in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, and Norway.
Currently, “Revival” has the lowest daily stream count among Eminem’s albums on Spotify, drawing under 300,000 plays — fewer than “Hell: The Sequel”, his collaborative EP with Royce 5’9 as Bad Meets Evil. However, it crossing the 2 billion stream threshold shows the enduring pull of Eminem’s music catalogue, even for an album that remains divisive among fans and critics alike.
