Marshall’s latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady”, has reached Platinum eligibility in the US, achieving the milestone faster than his previous release.
Having sold over 1,000,000 units since its release in July 2024, “The Death of Slim Shady” is officially eligible for Platinum certification in the US. This marks yet another milestone for the rap icon, who has achieved Platinum status with every studio album he has released.
What is especially impressive is how quickly this album hit the mark. It took “Music to Be Murdered By” eight months to reach Platinum in the US, but “The Death of Slim Shady” has done it in an even shorter time. The album has also been certified Platinum in Canada, its highest recognition so far.
However, fans may not see this milestone updated on Eminem’s RIAA records anytime soon. His management is known for holding off on updates until certifications stack up, meaning the next announcement might show “The Death of Slim Shady” at multiplatinum status.
