Projected sales numbers show that “Music to Be Murdered By: Side B” is unlikely to bring “Music to Be Murdered By” back to the top of the Billboard 200. It’s time to show that Eminem has enough fans in his home country to help him conquer the first slot on the charts.
Technically, “Music to Be Murdered By: Side B” is a complimentary LP that forms a Deluxe version together with Eminem’s 11th studio album that debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200 in January. Now Eminem faces competition from Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney who both battle for the top position this week.
Paul McCartney is projected to move 85-95,000 album units this week, meanwhile, Taylor’s “willow” is expected to sell over 100,000 units, this number is bumped up by the fact that she is already selling physical copies of the album. Eminem’s album is projected to move 70-80,000 copies on its debut week.
The album’s debut week ends on Thursday, 11.59 pm EST. It means, we still have time to improve the situation and support Em’s new release.
To secure the top spot, the album needs to show 120,000 units of total activity, which can be broken down top: 120,000,000 streams; 40,000 downloads.
What can you do to get M2BMB to a higher debut position on the Billboard 200?
1. First of all, this is the task for the US-based fans. This is up to Eminem’s home fandom to add 20-30 units to M2BMB sells.
However, the fans around the world should not sit idle. First of all, your streams and purchases count towards M2BMB global sales on the debut week and the album’s position on your local charts (it is important!). Secondly, you can amplify messages from all fans accounts to draw more attention, to spread the word, to get fans involved.
