Matthew Hughes was arrested on April 5 at Eminem’s house, which he entered by breaking a glass back door with a pavement stone. He was confronted by Eminem in the living room and then restrained by a security team

A suspect appeared at the court proceedings from Macomb County Jail via a video link on Monday, June 29. As Detroit Free Press states, defendant Matthew David Hughes said very little during these hearings.

Now he can face up to 20 years in prison for a home-invasion conviction, and up to five years for malicious destruction.

The next preliminary hearings are set for August 10.
