Eminem’s social media has suddenly increased nowadays but not in a way Nick Cannon hoped it would. Marshall does not acknowledge Nick’s efforts to engage him in this meaningless crusade. He reaches out to the Outcast star instead.
Em’s tweet refers to the recent interview that André did with legendary producer Rick Rubin. Conversations with Rubin are always rich in content, they reveal thoughts and inspirations of artists and their creative process, not focused on trends and publicity. Do yourself a favour and listen to this conversation in its entirety.
There was a segment in the interview where André reminisced on his obsession with obscure rap bands that he shared with Eminem. They used to have long conversations about them and were able to spend hours just trading their lyrics back and forth. And it looks like Eminem is ready to start doing it again.
He took on social media retweeting NME article about Andre’s interview with an emphasis on this particular story about Eminem and quoting “Never No More” from Souls of Mischief debut album “93 til Infinity”. He finishes his post with a friendly challenge for André to make his move:
“If I had to grip my pad the riffs I’d grab would rip and stab, the kids that sad, the shit that’s drab and flavorless…” you’re up, André!

This is the competition we would like to witness: two GOATs showing their appreciation for culture, knowing their roots, bringing hip-hop to people.
