This week, the Billboard album chart sees the rise of “Curtain Call: The Hits” and the confident performance of Marshall’s most recent album.
Let’s start with Cordae’s album that features Em’s first feature of 2022. “From a Bird’s Eye View” debuted at No.13. It is the second highest new entry this week.
“Curtain Call: The Hits” moved two more slots up and sits comfortably at No.35 on its 564th charting week. It shows that public attention to Em’s music only grows. Marshall’s numbers go up on the Spotify charts, which correlates with Billboard’s data.
Admittedly, MTBMB has slid 13 slots to No.153 this week. Still, it is not a bad result for an album released more than two years ago. It would have celebrated its two-year charting anniversary if not for a Christmas week gap the project had endured recently.
Never mind, we’ll celebrate it the following week when “Music to Be Murdered By” marks its 104th week on the chart. It would be even better for the album to bounce back up on this significant week. So let’s give it another spin.
