Eminem’s iconic soundtrack to an equally iconic rap movie just hit a new milestone, surpassing 2.5 billion streams on the platform.

It doesn’t come as a surprise. “8 Mile” is more than just a movie soundtrack, it’s a hip hop masterpiece. Tracks like “Lose Yourself” (the Oscar-winning anthem) and numbers from Nas, Rakim, and Jay-Z secured the album’s place in rap history.

Of course, “Lose Yourself” is the streaming king, and more than 2 billion streams for the project are coming from it alone. There is not a single track on the album that crossed the 100 million threshold. Fifty’s “Wanksta” came the closest to this milestone with 95 million streams, but that’s it. Yet, every song on this album deserves credit. It’s a time capsule of early 2000s hip hop, showcasing the pulsing energy and nerve of the era.
