Speaking with Big Boy, Xzibit reflected on Eminem’s impact, calling him a legend and praising his loyalty to the people around him.
Xzibit recently visited Big Boy’s Neighborhood and shared some words about Eminem, giving him his due respect as one of hip hop’s greatest:
You see rappers, and then you see legends. Eminem is a legend. There will always be a place for him in the history books of this thing of ours. Marshall is definitely a savant in a way when it comes to hip-hop and how he appreciates and loves it. He feels the same way I do, that hip hop saved my life.
Xzibit, who met Eminem a long time ago, at the very beginning of his creative partnership with Dr. Dre, also highlighted how Em had kept the same people by his side throughout his career:
I feel like Marshall has claimed his spot in hip hop royalty. I have a tremendous amount of respect for his team — Paul, Tracy, and everybody at Goliath. He has had the same people around him since the beginning, and that speaks volumes as well.
For Xzibit, it is not just about Em’s technical skill or success — it is about his dedication to the culture, the people around him, and his impact. And when it comes to hip hop history, there is no doubt where Eminem stands.
