The recent hint from Skylar Grey to pay close attention to Friday, October the 1st, got new interesting undertones that link it to Eminem’s rumoured song on a new “Venom” soundtrack.
As you remember, Skylar posted a picture of herself in very dark tones with a call to mark October 1 in our calendars.
Of course, the safest suggestion was to link it to her upcoming album release. However, as many fans noted, there is no need for her to vague-post about this topic. When her album gets an official release date, Skylar can and absolutely should promote it full steam on all available platforms.
However, here she felt the need to be enigmatic and not open her cards. This is why many considered the announcement to be connected to a highly anticipated and absolutely not confirmed officially new release.
The clue came unexpectedly from Elliott Taylor, Skylar’s partner. He reposted the same Skylar’s photo and added an animated Venom sticker. The Instagram story with this combination was very short-lived, as somebody took it down in panic. But the Internet remembers everything.
When Venom entered the picture, many hanging clues started adding up. Skylar’s photo is taken in a very dark Venom-like aesthetic; October the 1st is the official premiere date for “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” in the US; the singer is most probably not authorised to give any details of the release; being a long-standing Eminem’s collaborator she can be easily involved in making the theme song with him. The song that so many fans hope to hear in a week.
The recent hint from FredWreck also had “1001” hidden inside, and it also adds to the anticipation. Will we get the second Venom song from Eminem?
