Another heated barbershop discussion about a Verzuz battle that will never happen made young battle rappers discuss lyricism in hip hop.

The conversation started with weighing potential opponents for Busta Rhymes. In the absence of any potential serious candidates, Math Hoffa suggested Eminem, and after that, opinions split.

Vado, a rapper from Harlem, represented the minority that believed that Eminem would leave the stage undefeated. His reasoning was built on Em’s battle rap experience and lyricism:

Eminem might kill Busta. Because Eminem got bars. That’s where he comes from — ripping the stage with the bars. Lyricist! I‘m just saying, Eminem is a pure battle rhymer. I know Busta gonna tear that shit down. But Eminem is a battle rhymer! He could do it a capella.

Although it is true, the Verzuz model is very different from battle in the Detroit Hip Hop Shop. Do you think Eminem would be a good match for Busta Rhymes?
