Marshall’s latest interview with Sway ended with an evasive answer and an abrupt intervention from Paul Rosenberg. What is going on?
Sway linked up with Eminem over Zoom to talk about the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show, ranking hip hop artists in different generations, and Em’s reluctance to put himself into the limelight. The Shade45 DJ closed the conversation with a question that millions of fans ask every day. Is Eminem working on something? Does he have something we should know about? Marshall hesitated for a second to choose words very carefully:
I’m always working. I’m always working on something. And when I’m done working on it, then we usually put it out.
The familiar voice came from nowhere, revealing that Paul Rosenberg was present during the conversation and decided to intervene at this exact moment with a quick rebuke:
And if we told you it wouldn’t be much of a surprise, would it?
Well, at least one thing is evident from here. Eminem’s next album is going to be a surprise drop again. Neither he nor his management is going to give any hope to fans who feel that the pregnant silence around the project might burst into a new era any moment now.
