While working with Eminem, Skylar Grey was signed to Interscope Records label. She has never been Shady Records artist, but definitely she has become a member of Shady family over the years.

Today Holly announced that she is free now and is able to release whatever music she want and whenever she want. In my opinion, Interscope Records did nothing to enhance Skylar’s career. Moreover, the label broke both her biggest records [Don’t Look Down (2013) and Natural Causes (2016)] and practically dropped them without any proper promotion. Even featuring artists couldn’t help it.

Skylar Grey is one of that really gifted outstanding artists. Maybe now, when she got the freedom, we will see her in a whole new light. Skylar’s biggest hits were either dropped to the Internet or were released out of major projects (soundtacks, collabs, etc.). Hope she will keep the promisses she made and we will enjoy her new music in the near future.

I’d like to believe that Skylar’s leave won’t block her possible collaboration with other artists from Interscope and she will continue taking part in Eminem’s gigs (currently she performs almost all the female hooks and verses live).
