Marshall took to his social media to say that he was glad to be involved in creating an all-Detroit collaborative track on Big Sean’s new album.
Sean’s sequel to his 2012 mixtape “Detroit” was eagerly anticipated by the audience and critics alike but the gigantic “Night Friday Cypher” that brought together 12 rappers from Detroit stole the show.
Some people were so surprised to see Eminem on one [print with such characters as Tee Grizzly and Sada Baby that they even questioned whether Em was aware what he was getting into as if Big Sean would trick Marshall into doing something he would not agree to do.
The first indication that it was not the case was Royce da 5’9” referencing other MCs on his verse. It is not possible to imagine that Royce would know about their involvement and hide it from Em.
But now Eminem himself assures everyone that there was no trickery, no hard feelings, he did what he wanted and he is satisfied with results. Marshall wrote before providing a link to streaming the album:
So happy to be a part of the sequel- @BigSean #Detroit2 #fridaynightcypher
