Eminem is back in the MTV spotlight with three nominations this year, including two in the Best Hip Hop category: one for “Somebody Save Me” from “The Death of Slim Shady”, and one for his LL Cool J collab “Murdergram Deux”.
It brings the total number of his MTV VMA nominations up to 69.
The competition is fierce. He is up against Drake (NOKIA), GloRilla ft. Sexyy Red (WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME), Travis Scott (4X4), Doechii (Anxiety), and Kendrick Lamar (Not Like Us). T Doechii and Kendrick are the only two rappers who have managed to beat Em during this album cycle.
“Somebody Save Me” also earned a nod in the Video for Good category.

Last year, Eminem walked away with two VMAs for “Houdini”, bringing his total to 15 and breaking the record for most wins by a male artist. Both Drake and Kendrick sit at eight wins each, so there is no chance they would take Em’s crown this year.
Will Em stretch his lead even further this year? It depends on you.
