Royce throws back to one of the first songs released by him and Eminem under the Bad Meets Evil name.
The track titled “Scary Movies” was first released in 1999 on the Bad Meets Evil debut project — a 12″ single consisting of three songs called “Nuttin’ to Do”.
In two years, BME influence expanded to the other side of the pond and “Scary Movies” got its own release in Europe on Scorpio Music. The 2001 CD maxi-single included an original radio mix and three remixed versions:
1. Scary Movies (Radio Version)
2. Scary Movies (Future Type Joint Remix)
3. Scary Movies (Phillie Mc Remix)
4. Scary Movies (Tom Tyler Vocal Mix)
Royce shared the cover reminiscing about years that have passed since that day and shouted out to Rob “Reef” Tewlow, who produced the track:
20 years ago…. 👀🤞🏿 S/O my bro #Reef
The artwork for a European single looked way classier than “Nuttin’ to Do” or “Game I Tight”, the Game Recordings compilation that has BME joint on the tracklist. And now it seems like “Scary Movies” foreshadowed Eminem most recent album “, Music to Be Murdered By”.
