The Brooklyn rapper shared his thoughts on what a Lyrical miracle is as a concept, and it does not sound very complimentary.

The topic came up during the conversation with Math Hoffa of My Expert Opinion, and while phrasing it differently, both agreed that for them, it describes rappers who put style over substance. Ransom gave his definition:

A lyrical miracle just sounds good, spiritual. It sounds pleasing to the ear, but you ain’t saying a damn thing.

When asked where to put Eminem in this debate, Ransom stated that there is a difference between Em’s early music and his more mature work:

Some of his most recent work has been trying to flex lyrically. He turns into a lyrical miracle ‘cause he’s flexing lyrically. Before that, he got shit going on in his life. He was talking about that shit.

Math Hoffa seemed puzzled by this dichotomy, bringing “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” as an example of how it is possible to be both lyrically exquisite and emotionally relatable. Ransom himself knows that it is achievable, and this is exactly what he claims to be by meshing both skill and talent, style and substance.
