This time Eminem targets people whose false beliefs and morals put the lives of others in danger.
Eminem might have mentioned Rap God when started his verse on “The Adventures Of Moon Man & Slim Shady” but he also claimed the title of King of Swear Words later.

So, with whom Slim Shady is ready to have words on his collaboration with Kid Cudi?
The first on this list is NFL player Drew Brees. He is New Orleans Saints quarterback and he decided recently to reiterate his stance on kneeling at football matches during the American national anthem. Many players kneeled to highlight continuing racial inequality and systematic oppression in the country but their position was deliberately misinterpreted as disrespect. Donald Trump expressed his outrage and call to fire all players who took the knee and the first who did that, Colin Kaepernick indeed lost his contract. In June, when protests against racially motivated police brutality started across the US, Drew Brees felt appropriate to state that: “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country”.
Eminem did not spend many words on him just dropped dismissively “fuck Drew Brees”. He, however, placed him in juxtaposition with Lil Wayne, clearly showing who represents real New Orleans.

Next to get into Slim’s crosshairs are people who see new preventive measures against spreading COVID-19 as an offence to their freedom. There is a sizeable chunk of the population who resists seeing a danger that the pandemic brings and refuses to take basic precautions, such as wearing face coverings. High-ranking officials in the US are the first to neglect this simple measure and Eminem starts this bar with swinging all the way to the president’s office.

He questions the whole system that allows such crimes to be repeated again and again, questions the system where dirty cops are thriving and seem to be more than just a few bad apples.
