Think Eminem is just riding the wave of nostalgia? Think again! According to a recent Luminate report, Eminem ranks among the Top 3 artists Gen Z listens to the most.

Sharing the spotlight with Rihanna and Taylor Swift, Eminem proves his music still resonates with the younger crowd. Even with other big names in hip hop like Drake (No. 8) and Kendrick Lamar (No. 9) making the list, it is Eminem who stands out as the top rapper for Gen Z.

The Luminate Index, informed by data from major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, provides “influence scores” based on artists’ streaming, social media footprint, public awareness, appeal, and fan engagement. It’s a tool developed for brands, labels, and agencies to evaluate artists for partnerships, endorsements, and more. And with Eminem ranking high in all categories, it’s clear he’s still a major player.

It is not just the younger generation showing love. Eminem also holds strong at No. 6 on the general population chart, making him the only hip hop artist in the Top 10 overall.

This report is a wake-up call for anyone still clinging to the idea that Eminem’s popularity is only fuelled by long-time fans. His massive presence on platforms like TikTok and success in Fortnite were early signs, but now the numbers confirm it — Eminem’s music continues to hit hard with a new generation.
