Every time Eminem’s records or memorabilia go up for auction, it becomes a memorable event. But this one comes with a purpose beyond collecting. This time, the money will go toward changing lives.
For a good cause
One of the popular online online auction houses, Julien’s Auctions, is organising a special Marshall Mathers Foundation event. According to the announcement, all proceeds will benefit a foundation focused on creating opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Detroit and its surrounding communities.
For now, that is almost all we know. The full collection will be revealed when bidding begins on July 28. What is included in the collection remains a mystery for now. Still, past sales suggest demand will be high.

Collector’s favourite
Over the years, Eminem has maintained a unique position in the current cultural landscape. The impact of his music and art is undeniable. At the same time, his physical presence is minimal. Eminem does not mingle, does not put himself in the spotlight. That’s why his every appearance is a major event, and anything connected to him draws so much attention. Auction houses have picked up on that interest, and rare Eminem memorabilia is now a desirable collector’s item.
Not that long ago, in spring 2026, a sealed, signed copy of Eminem’s debut album, Infinite, sold for $104,920 at Goldin Auctions, setting a new all-time high for a hip hop vinyl record.
Earlier, in 2025, Dr. Dre’s famous SSL 4000 G+ console, used to mix albums by Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, and many others, became the most expensive piece of hip hop studio gear ever sold ($165,000).
Charity, not profit
Needless to say, when items come directly from Eminem – it is not to make more money for himself, obviously. His 2021 NFT venture was a rare exception, and many fans understood it as a business-led project pushed by his partners rather than a typical Eminem charity effort. Usually, Marshall donates items for a good cause, raising money for non-profits, as he did during the COVID pandemic, helping musicians affected by it.
However, most of the time, the proceeds go to the Marshall Mathers Foundation – an organisation through which Eminem provides help where it is needed. Eminem never talks about it; his charitable work is quiet and often goes unnoticed by those who do not benefit from his help. For instance, you have to be in Detroit to know that for 17 years the Marshall Mathers Foundation organises a winter coat giveaway and it is massive.
In 2020, Eminem welcomed Royce 5’9 as Director of Community Engagement and Social Justice Initiatives at the foundation. Since then, Royce has become an even more prominent figure in the organisation. In 2024, he joined an online discussion, sharing insights into the Marshall Mathers Foundation’s work from his perspective as its chief executive. “My job is to make sure funds are disseminated to the right places and in the right amounts”, he wrote. “There’s a fund in place that is set aside specifically for Black and Brown issues in underserved communities. Starting in Detroit. Dollar amounts are millions and higher”.
Now, Eminem collectors may help fund the next chapter of that work.
