Jadakiss is The Lox and Ruff Ryders member signed to Hov’s Roc Nation as a solo artist who has years of a successful career in hip hop, and his opinion has some weight. Even when it is a high opinion of Eminem, to Charlamagne’s great chagrin.
Jadakiss was sitting at The Breakfast Club when Charlamagne started saying that people should not use Eminem as a bar for white rappers. Annoyed with this repetitive discourse, Jadakiss did not hold back and challenged the host with a direct question about why does he think so. Charlamagne provided his reasoning:
Because he’s an anomaly. Meaning that Eminem had everything lined up for him perfectly, he had Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre…
But Jadakiss had none of it, once again reminding him that Eminem had it bad from the beginning and things got “lined up for him” only after he proved himself as a rapper and lyricist:
Before that though?! I like his story, from where he came from. Trailer park, confusion with his moms, and all of that whole thing, the way he made it to. And it’s not just because he’s white. A lot of people like to throw shots. He might have got a couple of doors opened for his complexion, for the connection, but he can really spit. He’s a hell of a rapper!
Another rapper with a solid reputation had to shut down hateful remarks about Marshall. And the silver lining is that however much hate is coming Em’s way – there is always a hip hop giant standing by his side to put a stop on it.
