Dr. Dre has not released any new music for years. But now it looks like something is brewing; hints are coming from all directions.
Crook started the conversation on his Twitter recently, dreaming about a Dre-produced album for a female rapper:
I really want Dr. Dre to produce an entire album for a woman who raps 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

A fan pointed out that any album from the Doctor would be a dream come true with the current state of affairs. Crook has an unexpected revelation in response:
I walked in his studio and saw 146 songs on a big ass list

The West Coast MC did not specify where that had happened exactly. We know that earlier this year, he shared a picture with Dr. Dre in a studio setting, implying that he linked up with the legendary producer for his upcoming album. Soon after, Aftermath producer DJ Silk shared the snippet of their collab, also stating that the joint was meant to have Eminem’s verse on it.
Just the other day, the prospective unofficial tracklist for Dr. Dre’s new album was popped up on Genius, making the fans both hopeful and resigned. It is true that the Good Doctor works constantly, and his vaults have to be jam-packed with unreleased hits. This does not mean that he is going to release them any time soon.
But maybe, maybe… Maybe working on new material will give Dr. Dre a sense of urgency, and the audience will be able to see at least one-tenth of what he is working on right now.
