Marshall’s first greatest hits compilation is charting at No.7 in Canada.
Just a week ago, “Curtain Call: The Hits” was listed as No.43 on the Canadian album chart. It has rocketed up after the HBO broadcast the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony highlights, with the main highlight being Marshall’s spectacular performance and inspiring speech where he expressed gratitude and respect to over 100 hip hop artists.
Meanwhile, on the US chart, the Christmas albums invasion skewed the picture and contributed to a massive drop for many long-charting albums, including Em’s compilations. It did not happen in Canada, however. Over there, Eminem’s project dated 2004 is charting higher than this year’s releases from Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Drake and so on. All Christmas albums, except for Michael Buble’s disk, are also charted lower than “Curtain Call: The Hits”.
“Curtain Call 2”, by the way, is doing well. But it has moved only one position up since this week and is listed under No.14.
