Eminem Snoop Dogg 2022

Snoop Dogg & Eminem’s “From the D 2 the LBC” has Bored Ape’s fingerprints all over it. How has this NFT crossover come to life, you ask?

Cordell Broadus, Snoop’s second-oldest son, who is heavily involved in the growing NFT market in general and the Bored Ape brand, in particular, has a story to tell. According to him, he approached Paul Rosenberg and, with help from his father, pitched the idea of this collaboration. Paul was reluctant at first, but time, clever rhetoric and some peer pressure helped Cordell’s idea come to life. It all started in November 2021, and in June 2022, we all saw the result.

That’s the sequence of events young Broadus shared on his Twitter account:

Story time with #ChampMedici
I saw Paul Rosenberg eating dinner at the Barclays November 3rd 2021 and I didn’t hesitate to tell him to bring Em 2 this space, he wasn’t convinced / so I had my client @SnoopDogg call Em November 21st to convince him (here’s the phone call )

A few months later @nickyads and The Champ ✈️ to NYC to meet with Paul again to walk him through how it would work and what ideas we thought would best fit their brand. Both Parties own BoredApeYC so we felt it was extremely aligned to make the music video cross over 🦍

We ran the idea by @yugalabs and it was green lit ✅ ✈️ to Detroit right after closing @garyvee VeeCon in Minnesota 30 days later the MV was completed and history was made 8 months and some change it took to make this happen…

Im not bragging or making this about me it’s just a beautiful thing to see how time works and ideas are always on our side😎to any go getters out there that may have to go through a journey of people fully not understanding ur vision stay down for the come have faith & be patient
