Jake Bass shares photos with Draven Bennington from the recording studio, promising new music.

You might know Bass Brothers, Eminem’s managers and producers from his pre-fame/pre-Dre era, better than Jake. However, Jake follows the path of his father and uncle and firmly stands in the Detroit music scene. He spent last summer touring the world with D12 and is now back in the recording studio working on a new project. This project appears to involve Draven, the son of Linkin Park’s unforgettable lead singer, Chester Bennington.

We know from Lazarus, who is mentoring Draven now, that Jeff Bass is helping a young musician find his voice. In the exclusive interview we published last summer, Lazarus said:

I’m working with and mentoring Chester Bennington’s son. It came out of nowhere. I linked up with Samantha Bennington, Chester’s ex-wife and his son, Draven Bennington, and was checking out his music. I was invited to Jeff Bass’s studio, and we were going through his work. We want to work with a mentor and build with him. I’m going to be back in Detroit next month to work on some stuff with him as well. And it was just super dope catching up with Jeff Bass.

Before that, Lazarus shared a picture with Draven and Jeff Bass, the legendary man behind some of Eminem’s most powerful hits.

Now, Jake Bass posts a photo from the same studio, showing that the family keeps working on this project that essentially merges the legacies of two musical powerhouses – Eminem’s gritty Detroit rap roots meeting Linkin Park’s raw rock energy. That was the aspect Jake emphasised in his caption:

“When two worlds collide… 2nd Generation!!! Y’all ain’t ready for this music!!!”

What do you think? Should we get ready for something genre-bending and explosive? What do you expect from this team-up?
