It’s not even a year old, but “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” is already on its way to make history.
Though it currently ranks toward the bottom of his discography in total lifetime streams, the album is steadily climbing, fueled by around 1.2 million streams per day. It is Eminem’s fifth most-streamed album currently, following all-time classics like “The Eminem Show”, “The Marshall Mathers LP”, “Recovery”, and “Encore”.
And it is doing all this in under a year, at a pace faster than “Music to Be Murdered By”, which, at that point, had 1.6 billion streams registered to its name even with the Side B deluxe drop.
Marshall’s latest chapter may be titled The Death of Slim Shady, but the numbers say Slim is still very much alive and kicking.
