During a pandemic, Super Bowl parties look like good fun for some and like a safety measure violation for others. 50 Cent made a mayor threaten him with a fine for one.
Fifty hosted a party in Florida to celebrate the biggest football event in the US. The event was supposed to be compliant with all the regulations, with guests wearing masks and keeping social distance in an old airport hangar.
However, judging by the footage that TMZ made public, all precautions went out of the window very soon, and you could hardly see a person concerned with the pandemic rules.
The mayor of St. Petersburg, where the party took place, noticed this story and publicly condemned this organised and lucrative chaos. He also promised that the violation of rules would be costly for those who let it happen.
Mayor Rick Kriseman wrote on Twitter:
This isn’t how we should be celebrating the Super Bowl. It’s not safe or smart. It’s stupid. We’re going to take a very close look at this, and it may end up costing someone a lot more than 50 cent.
