Fifty might be heading into a whole new kind of fight. According to recent reports, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is in talks to play Balrog, the powerhouse boxing champ from Street Fighter, in the upcoming live-action adaptation.

Fif all but confirmed the casting by sharing a screenshot of the news on social media.

The character of Balrog, a Las Vegas boxer turned villain, has been part of the Street Fighter franchise since the early 1990s and was famously inspired by Mike Tyson. If the reports are accurate, Fifty’s tough-guy presence and real-life boxing background make him a fitting match.

50 Cent began boxing at age 11 and competed in amateur events, including Golden Gloves tournaments, during his teenage years. He was reportedly good enough to compete in the Junior Olympics but decided not to pursue a professional boxing career. Later, he even stepped into the business side of the sport as a boxing promoter. That experience, combined with his larger-than-life persona, gives him a solid foundation to try on the Balrog’s gloves.
