A Ja Rule diss might not be the most obvious choice for a video to update, but it has such a nostalgic, hypnotising vibe that it makes sense.

The entire video is shot in the studio where 50 Cent and his original G-Unit gang were hanging out, writing lyrics, and bumping Fifty’s new song. In black and white, intimate and genuine, it almost gives out a feel of a home video. Fifty was on the brink of his breathtaking breakthrough, and the rise of Lloyd Banks and Tony Yaya was to follow.

The song was released on Fif’s debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’”, which celebrates its 20th anniversary on February 6 of this year. Hopefully, 50 Cent will do something major to mark this day.
