Kanye West jumped into a trending rap debate to make one thing clear — Eminem still stands alone when it comes to bars.

It started with a simple question from the Drink Champs X (Twitter) account:
“Bar For Bar…One Rapper…That No One Comes Close To…Gots To Be…🤔”

Replies flooded in — Wayne, Nas, Drake, Ye himself — but one fan’s response stood out from the crowd. It simply read:
“Eminem
J Cole
Kendrick Lamar”

That post did not just get likes, it took off, racking up over five times the views of the original prompt. And that is when Kanye West jumped in with a seven-word response that made his stance crystal clear:

“J COLE AND KENDRICK CAN’T TOUCH THE WHITE BOY”

Ye has had a complex relationship with the industry lately, but his respect for Eminem has not wavered in over two decades. Back in 2004, during an interview with Scratch magazine, Kanye praised Eminem with reverence:

He is one of my top-five producers, let alone one of my top-five rappers. Me and Em together? Damn. Not that I put myself on that level…

Just like over 20 years ago, Ye holds Em in high regard. Recently, Kanye mentioned him on his lists of Rap Kings and Rappers who never switched up on him. Now, this.

While fan debates might rage on, Ye’s latest post cuts through the noise with that familiar, all-caps conviction.
And once again, it is Eminem at the centre of the conversation.
