Ahead of this Sunday’s VMAs, where Eminem has three nominations, he lands in the Top 5 artists with the most clips in rotation in the MTV nonstop music video marathon.
MTV is going old school this week, bringing back wall-to-wall music videos across its secondary channels. The marathon kicked off on September 1 and runs straight through the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. Viewers can catch over 700 videos sorted into 12 categories on MTV2, MTV Live, MTV Classic, and the Pluto channel MTV Biggest Pop.
The lineup celebrates decades of iconic visuals, from the best of the 1980s and 1990s to themed blocks like “Videos That Go Bump in the Night”, “Videos That Make Us Howl”, and “Best Celebrity Cameos”. MTV revealed the artists with the most featured videos in this celebration of music video history. Opening the list with the most spins are Britney Spears (21), Beyoncé (18), Madonna (17), Eminem (15), and Michael Jackson (12).
Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, ‘N Sync, and Justin Timberlake also make strong showings. Special segments will include stars like Jon Bon Jovi, Olivia Rodrigo, Paris Hilton, and Doja Cat sharing their favourite music video picks.
The celebration builds to Sunday’s 2025 VMAs, airing at 8 pm Eastern on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+. Eminem is part of this year’s ceremony with three nominations: two in the Best Hip Hop category for “Somebody Save Me” and his LL Cool J collab “Murdergram Deux”, plus a Video for Good nod for “Somebody Save Me”.
That’s the career young artists dream of: to be part of history, the force that shaped the era, and stay relevant while the times change, leaving a mark year after year.
