Rapper, producer and, as of now, an adult film director Young M.A. visited a morning radio show hosted by Angie Martinez and faced a typical, but still hard to answer the question: What is the Top 10 of her favourite MCs?

Young M.A. was making her list on the spot, off the top of her head but she really gave it a thought and provided an explanation to every choice she made:

1. Jay Zhe is an entrepreneur, I just respect his growing, his hustle. And overall as an MC he’s fine, his music is crazy.
2. Biggie.
3. Pac. I listen to a lot of 2Pac music. I am not like a crazy 2Pac fan, but I can relate to him because he was so intelligent but at the same time so feral, so savage.
4. Eminem. I love Eminem. I feel like he is psychotic logically. He is so different, he says stuff that I feel like off-the-wall, that is crazy to me, you’ve got to really think what he says. And I always respect his craft and he always makes dope music, and he spoke from his experiences.
5. Lil Wayne did a lot, even like feature-wise. I was looking at some documentary where he was actually doing features for free. He just wanted to be heard on everything. And he was a monster. So I just respect his craft overall.
6. 50 Cent. Because he became like a breath of fresh air for New York. He inspired me to do music, so I definitely give him this Top 10 position.
7. Eve. I love Eve. She was so dope, she was like a pit-bull in the skirt. And she sounded like no one of female artists, honestly, she was speaking on things differently. She wasn’t too sexy, she wasn’t too promiscuous. When she came out speaking from her own experiences, I just felt that vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I like Kim, I like Foxy, I just relate more to Eve.
8. Kanye. I’ve got to put Kanye in here because I listen to a lot of old Kanye.
9. Lauren Hill. First of all, her voice singing-wise, oh, she is overall excellent, she is the only one who can get away with the singing and get away with the rap.
10. J Cole. I really like J Cole as a current artist, I just like how he thinks, what he is saying just reminds me of certain things I’m saying. He is not just that crazy psychological, he will break it down in his verses. And he’s cool, he’s smooth. He produces, he’s like an overall artist and I respect that.
