Fifty is doing just fine, despite a fake story making the rounds claiming he was critically injured in a shooting.
A wild rumour popped up online claiming the rapper had been hospitalised after a shooting in Hollywood, but Fif was quick to shut it down.
Reposting a fake news headline about his supposed condition,50 Cent responded in the most Fifty way possible: “Don’t worry I’m gonna make it, because this is fake news”.
The fake report tried to pin the story on TMZ — but TMZ never said a word about any shooting involving Fifty. Their last update about him was on March 1, when they shared a video of him crashing a party on a luxury ship as a special guest for Flo Rida’s performance. That is a far cry from the dramatic hospital scene some people were trying to push.
Of course, fans were relieved to see Fifty calling out the nonsense himself. Given his past — when he actually survived being shot nine times back in 2000 — it is understandable why people took a second look. Also, the rumour spread as the rapper finds himself in an ongoing feud with Big Meech, the Detroit drug lord whose story inspired his hit TV series BMF. But this time, no need to worry. Fifty’s just fine and, as always, getting the last laugh.
