The West Coast legend publicly admits that he was out of place dismissing Eminem, but he has sorted it out since.
Snoop visited The Breakfast Club radio show, where he touched on the sensitive topic that shell-shocked hip hop fans last year. Snoop left Eminem out of his Top 10 rappers, which would be not a problem as it is his taste and his choice. But the language he used was dismissive and disrespectful, and many fans took offence. Looked like Marshall himself felt hurt and talked about it on “Zeus” from MTBMB: Side B.
We can see now that the relationship between the two stars has improved. Em and Snoop recorded a song together and are planning a groundbreaking performance at the next year Super Bowl.
Apparently, it took a grown-up discussion between those two and luckily, Snoop was willing to listen and admit his wrongs:
Man, I love Eminem! And the thing is, we love hip hop so much, we’re competitive, we’re battle rappers. So it was supposed to trigger him. But we’re brothers, we’re family, so we’ve learned to appreciate each other for what we do. And we had a long conversation about the respect we have for each other and the way we need to talk in public about each other. And I felt like I was out of pocket. I apologised to him, and I let him know it. I’m just bettering myself. I make mistakes, I ain’t perfect. I’m Snoop Dogg.
