In a recent appearance on the Bootleg Kev podcast, NASAAN, the son of the late Proof, opened up about his relationship with Eminem and how their bond has evolved over the years. Despite their close connection, NASAAN shared that he has been focused on carving his own path in the music industry while still valuing the wisdom and guidance he receives from Em and Royce 5’9.
NASAAN revealed:
I was just trying to go see him last week, actually, but he was in LA. I was in Detroit trying to link with him. But I’m probably going to do that when I go back. Anytime I want to see Em, pull up on them, hit them, they’re available. I don’t do it as much because I’m finding my own way in this stuff, getting it done, making my own relationships.
While NASAAN is determined to make his mark independently, he emphasised the importance of seeking advice from veterans like Eminem and Royce:
There are times I just pull up, play the music, get their advice on certain things, ask them questions, pick their brains. Him and Royce especially, ’cause they’ve been through a lot of the things that I’m about to go through.
Looks like NASAAN is ready to be propelled to broader fame, and rightly so. His recent projects, “ERROR 404”, which featured Royce 5’9, among others, and the latest feature on Big Sean’s album, have given NASAAN so much exposure, opening his talent and unique sense of style to big audiences. One of the tracks from “ERROR 404” made it to the Madden NFL 25 Soundtrack, together with Eminem’s “Houdini”.
