One of the biggest MCs of all time – historically, lyrically and culturally – visited the daytime TV show of Wendy Williams. He was promoting his new book “Sweat the Technique. Revelations on creativity from the lyrical genius”. And, of course, he was asked about his thoughts on hip-hop today.
Rakim did not hesitate, seems like he has a fully formed opinion on this matter and his own lists of favourites:
I love Jay Z, I love Eminem, I love Nas.
He also had no objections when the host compared Eminem to Rakim himself in terms of their abilities to tell the audience engaging stories.
