With over 15.3 million streams gained over the week, “Mockingbird” is ranked higher than any other rap track.

On the general list across all genres, “Mockingbird” sits in the Top 40, at No.39. If it doesn’t seem high enough then it is the issue with a genre, not an artist. Eminem represents the culture in the Top 40 alone. Moreover, the track made it that high after gaining five additional points, which is quite an impressive trend in itself.

The sudden popularity of “Mockingbird” on social media, particularly on TikTok, felt like a fad initially. But it has been months since the younger generation rediscovered the track and, consequently, Eminem. Since then, Em’s following and streaming numbers have kept going up. “Mockingbird”, which is the most streamed song of its era across all genres and now e most streamed hip hop song on the platform, hit the milestone of 1 billion Spotify streams. Nobody expected this a year ago when the song was not even in his Top 10 most streamed tracks. Now, it is Em’s seventh and it made it to 1 billion faster than “Rap God”.
